Leading cloud technology solutions company, Xtremax, has launched and migrated over 150 government agency websites to Content Website Platform 2.0 (CWP2.0). CWP is an innovative Platform-as-a-Service that was first launched seven years ago, providing managed services to hundreds of Singapore government websites owned by over 40 government agencies.
Reappointed in February 2023, the multi-year Whole-of-Government contract will see Xtremax improving existing features and introducing new ones to strengthen security, compliance, and availability while facilitating greater automation and faster deployment.
CWP2.0 builds on the success of the initial CWP, launched in 2016. With CWP1.0, agencies were able to deploy websites within a day, eliminating the need for lengthy procurement processes.
Integrated with popular CMS platforms, such as Sitecore, Sitefinity, Swiiit, WordPress, and SharePoint, CWP1.0 enabled centralised management of unclassified government websites on the public cloud. Over the past seven years, CWP has facilitated 500+ monthly deployments, with a significant percentage completed in under 15 minutes, and maintained a strong security record with zero breaches.
CWP2.0 offers several new and enhanced features, including greater automation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) through a pipeline. Code repositories, testing tools, security tools, deployment tools, and monitoring tools are integrated into the platform, allowing development teams to focus on website development instead of CI/CD.
The new platform also includes an option for a new headless CMS. Developed by Xtremax, Nimvio will offer content creators and developers the freedom and scalability of a headless CMS, coupled with enterprise-class security.
The platform will also feature enhanced website defacement monitoring with SentryPage, an award-winning cybersecurity tool developed by Xtremax. This intelligent monitoring tool is designed to protect organisations’ reputations and help guard against web defacement with precision, speed, and reliability. Since its rollout, SentryPage has captured more than 4.5 million alerts, with its signature engines yielding a successful detection rate of more than 99%.
“CWP transformed the way websites were deployed and managed seven years ago. In today’s digital-first era, the need to balance customer experience and innovations with high availability and security has become even more critical,” said Denise Kee, CEO of Xtremax. “We’re delighted to be appointed as the partner once again for CWP2.0 and are thankful to the Singapore Government agencies for their continued trust in our capabilities. We look forward to continuing bringing new features to CWP and providing a better user experience for all the government agencies in the times to come.”
