Sapura Industrial Berhad (SIB) Strengthens Automotive Component Manufacturing with Mubea Partnership

Sapura Industrial Berhad (SIB), Malaysia’s leading automotive component manufacturer, has signed a Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) with Mubea Fahrwerksfedern GmbH (Mubea), a global leader in high-strength, lightweight automotive components. The five-year partnership enhances SIB’s technical capabilities in the design, development, and production of hollow stabiliser bars and high-stress coil springs, further solidifying SIB’s position as Malaysia’s sole manufacturer of stabiliser bars and the country’s leading producer of coil springs.

SIB remains committed to driving the advancement of Malaysia’s automotive sector, ensuring that local manufacturing keeps pace with evolving original equipment manufacturer (OEM) requirements. As the industry shifts towards lighter materials for improved vehicle performance and efficiency, demand for hollow stabiliser bars is growing in both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric vehicles (EVs). By adding hollow stabiliser bars to its product portfolio, SIB strengthens its position as Malaysia’s sole manufacturer of these critical components.

At the same time, SIB is expanding its coil spring production, creating new regional opportunities and reinforcing its leadership as Malaysia’s largest producer of coil springs.
