Nutanix Cloud Platform Helps Improve eslite Logistics Database Speed and Resilience of Its Operation

Nutanix, a leader in hybrid multicloud computing, said eslite Logistics gained the ability to effectively manage the applications that support the millions of stock keeping units used to place and fulfill orders across its business by using the Nutanix Cloud Platform to modernize its datacenter from the ground up.

eslite Logistics plays a vital role in assisting eslite Group’s supply chain which supports its diversified businesses ranging from bookstores, galleries, performances, shopping malls, travel, restaurants, e-commerce, and more. Modern IT infrastructure is required for eslite Logistics to maintain 365 days of uninterrupted operations and ensure accurate information transfer. The legacy three-tier set-up it had in its datacenter could no longer support the applications which are spread across multiple environments. Using Nutanix enabled eslite Logistics to strengthen the resilience of eslite Group’s logistic operations, giving it the visibility needed to better manage their applications and databases.

Using Nutanix enabled eslite to increase its system execution speed by 30 percent, which means it can better cope with increased order volumes during holidays and get ready to scale-up operations more easily as it expands. This is because Nutanix helped eslite Logistics’ application system connection efficiency and database execution speeds increase by 35 percent and 30 percent, respectively. In addition, adopting Nutanix also significantly reduced the amount of hardware in the datacenter and reduced the power consumption of the IT infrastructure.

“Nutanix is working to help eslite Logistics and other companies in Taiwan modernize their datacenters and gain control of their applications, ultimately preparing them for a future when their applications live across a hybrid multicloud environment,” said Daniel Chang, managing director, Taiwan and Hong Kong Sales, Nutanix.

In the future, eslite Logistics’ engineering team will be able to develop new applications with more confidence due to its more modern IT infrastructure. This will help it strengthen the resilience of its logistics operations, cope with increased order volumes, continue to optimize customer experience, and realize its sustainability goals.
