MDEC Announces Immerse KL X Celcomdigi to Power Malaysia’s Immersive Tech Future

Reflecting Malaysia's Growing Commitment to Immersive Solutions Across Extended Reality, Virtual Production, Gamification, Immersive Storytelling, and Web3

The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), in collaboration with CelcomDigi, has announced IMMERSE KL x CelcomDigi—Malaysia’s premier event for immersive technology and creative content innovation.

With the theme, “Dive into the Future: Envisioning Creative Tech and the Metaverse,” the event reflects Malaysia’s growing commitment to immersive solutions across Extended Reality, virtual production, gamification, immersive storytelling, and Web3 to accelerate cross-sector adoption of emerging technologies. Now a standalone flagship initiative, IMMERSE KL has evolved from the Malaysia Digital Content Festival (MYDCF) to become a focused platform for showcasing immersive and creative technologies. The 2025 edition is expected to welcome over 300 participants and 120 companies from across Malaysia and the region.

Anuar Fariz Fadzil, Chief Executive Officer of MDEC, said: “IMMERSE KL x CelcomDigi is a catalyst for digital innovation, positioning Malaysia as a leader in the immersive tech landscape. With partners like CelcomDigi, we are shaping a future driven by creativity and emerging technology.”

As the official partner, CelcomDigi will showcase real-world applications of XR and 5G technologies across multiple sectors including education, industry, and healthcare. Key highlights include:
