Lenovo Accelerates AI Readiness with Suite of New Solutions

Ushering in a New Era for Data Centres, Artificial Intelligence, and More

Lenovo recently announced a new suite of services and solutions designed to fast-track Artificial Intelligence (AI) transformation by making private AI accessible to every business. Paving the way to “Smarter AI for All,” the new services go beyond the cloud and bring on-demand AI to the customer, helping businesses use its on-prem proprietary data to build, scale and evolve generative AI.

  • Lenovo TruScale GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS). Delivers lightning-fast GPU power on demand through the simplicity of a scalable, pay-as-you go model.
  • Lenovo ThinkSystem N1380 Neptune. A sixth generation vertical liquid cooling breakthrough that uses a reimagined vertical liquid cooling chassis designed for industry standard 19-inch racks
  • Lenovo ThinkSystem SC777 V4 Neptune. Supports NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBandand Spectrum-X800 Ethernet for high-performance networking, as well as  NVIDIA AI Enterprise, which streamlines the development and deployment of production-grade AI solutions.
  • Lenovo ThinkSystem SC750 V4. Powered by Intel® Xeon® 6 processors with P-cores and MRDIMM memory, which boosts memory bandwidth by up to 40% while enhancing security for sensitive workloads.
  • Lenovo XClarity One. New form of unified system management, which eliminates IT guesswork by combining AI for IT operations and management capabilities within one solution for the first time, using Lenovo’s new AIOps Systems Management engine.

With Generative AI increasingly becoming a top investment priority for enterprises, these new solutions can help businesses build, scale and evolve private AI faster with GPU resources on demand, AI-driven systems management and advanced liquid cooling services.

“Businesses in Asia Pacific are rapidly transitioning from planning to adopting AI in operations and customer excellence. Implementing and scaling AI successfully also requires a targeted and strategic approach to meet sustainability goals owing to infrastructure needs,” said Kumar Mitra, Managing Director and Regional General Manager, CAP & ANZ, at Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group. “Lenovo’s new AI services and solutions provide the expertise needed to tailor and effectively implement AI solutions for tangible business outcomes. They also ensure that data centres are energy efficient and space-optimised for higher performance and reliability. We are excited to see the future opportunities and possibilities for our customers in the region.”

Deploy and Scale AI Faster with Lenovo’s TruScale GPUaaS

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning workloads require GPUs to speed up data processing for model development and inferencing but can be costly and difficult for organisations to procure. Lenovo is taking as-a-service to a smarter level with Lenovo TruScale GPUaaS. The service offers metered NVIDIA GPU resources and orchestration through its Intelligent Computer Orchestration (LiCO) technology, which provides workload management and scheduling, enabling cost efficiency and effective use of GPU resources. Lenovo TruScale GPUaaS will be available for a wide range of NVIDIA Tensor Core GPU options, including NVIDIA H100 and NVIDIA L40S.

Reengineering Data Centres for Higher Thermal Densities

As implementing effective sustainability strategies continue to remain a top priority for businesses, existing and recently introduced Lenovo Neptune technologies empower businesses to harness direct liquid cooling to achieve up to 40 percent lower power consumption and higher density computing for more than a decade.

As-a-service models can further help IT operate more sustainably by improving cost metrics and reducing complexities of implementation while providing access to AI-ready computing. As part of Lenovo Power and Cooling Services, customers receive comprehensive data-driven insights following an in-depth site visit to determine power usage, cooling needs, and energy efficiency for the data centre. Data centre power and cooling systems are also proactively managed, improving reliability and maximising existing facilities and infrastructures.

Bringing NVIDIA GB200 to the Enterprise Market with 100% Heat Removal

Lenovo will deliver NVIDIA GB200 rack systems that supercharge AI training, data processing, engineering design, and simulation. Featuring open-loop, direct warm-water cooling for the entire NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell system architecture with NVIDIA NVLink interconnect, enterprise customers of any size can use the Lenovo ThinkSystem SC777 V4 Neptune to run trillion-parameter AI models that bring products to market faster, at lower cost and with higher energy efficiency.

With the advanced water cooling, the new ThinkSystem server allows critical components to operate at lower temperatures and effectively removes all heat from all components, including GPUs, memory, I/O, local storage, and voltage regulators. Combined, the innovations enable AI training and real-time LLM inference for models scaling up to 10 trillion parameters while increasing performance, energy-efficiency, and reliability in a compact, ultra-quiet system.

A New Era of AI-Driven Systems Management

Lenovo is helping customers stay ahead of AI demand with the next evolution of unified system management, revolutionising intelligent operations with AI-driven capabilities for enhanced reliability, security, and scalability. Lenovo XClarity One eliminates IT guesswork by combining AI for IT operations and management capabilities within one solution for the first time, using Lenovo’s new AIOps Systems Management engine.

The system management platform features all-new AI-powered and automated predictive failure analytics, utilising three predictive engines for fast and accurate failure detection. Predictive analytics also serves to eliminate the costly potential expense of replacing functional parts instead of faulty components.

XClarity One also delivers streamlined management of all connected devices from the data centre to the edge via a single, user-friendly interface, giving comprehensive control over the entire lifecycle of Lenovo servers wherever they are located. Adhering to international security standards, it is flexible with modern data centre and edge processing requirements and minimises the potential security attack surface. Built on a zero-trust architecture that requires OTP application authentication for all users, XClarity One also features new role-based access controls and actions that help define and restrict permissions based on user roles.
