Google Cloud, Komdigi Launch AI-Focused Accelerator Program for Indonesian Startups
A Strategic Collaboration to Cultivate 100 High-Growth Indonesia-Headquartered AI Startups Over the Next Five Years

At Google Cloud Summit Jakarta ‘25, Google Cloud and Indonesia’s Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) announced the launch of the “Google for Startups Accelerator Southeast Asia: Indonesia, AI-Focused” program to nurture high-growth Indonesia-headquartered startups that are building new products with generative AI (gen AI) or agentic AI as the core technology.
Indonesian startups account for more than 1 in 4 of the total participants in regional Google for Startups Accelerator programs. Fifty-seven Indonesian startups—including Gojek, NOICE, Aruna, Sekolah.mu, and Kata.ai—have graduated from these programs to date and are playing a key role in Indonesia’s digital economy. Nearly 70% of Indonesian unicorns have also been building on Google Cloud.
Fanly Tanto, Country Director, Indonesia, Google Cloud, said: “Research from Public First reveals that moving forward, if local startups and small businesses effectively apply Google Cloud platform services, including data analytics and AI, they could gain an estimated Rp 990 trillion (USD $61 billion) in economic value by 2030. Under Google’s Bangkit Bersama AI (Rise Together with AI) initiative, we’re therefore launching ‘Indonesia, AI-Focused’ in partnership with Komdigi, with the goal of cultivating 100 high-potential Indonesian AI startups over the next five years.”
Meutya Hafid, Minister of Communications and Digital Affairs, added: “We thank Google for its consistent support in fostering the growth of Indonesian startups over the past decade. This aligns with the government’s Golden Indonesia 2045 vision, where technology—especially AI—is expected to drive equitable and sustainable economic progress. Through our collaboration with Google Cloud, we are launching the ‘Indonesia, AI-Focused’ program. This is a public-private partnership designed to empower Indonesian startups. They will gain access to world-class technology and training, enabling them to create meaningful, AI-driven innovations for key sectors like education, healthcare, finance, agriculture, smart cities, environmental sustainability, and social services. With support from an entire ecosystem, young entrepreneurs in Indonesia can create future-forward solutions that gain international recognition.”

- Workshops sponsored and conducted by Komdigi and Google Cloud at Komdigi’s Digital Innovation Hub to equip startup teams with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively utilize Google Cloud’s fully integrated AI technology stack;
- Mentorship and technical project support from Google Cloud, Google Play, Android, and Google Ads experts, Komdigi’s Founders Meet Experts program, as well as Google Cloud’s startup ecosystem partners like Alpha JWC Ventures, Cocoon Capital, DANA Indonesia, HACKTIV8, Monk’s Hill Ventures, Oddbit, and more;
- The opportunity to showcase their AI products and connect with potential investors at a Demo Day hosted by Komdigi and Google Cloud.
Thye Yeow Bok, Head of Startup Ecosystem, Southeast Asia, Google Cloud, said: “The launch of our AI-focused accelerator program in Indonesia reinforces Google’s commitment toward advancing Indonesia’s startup ecosystem. Participating startups will be equipped to utilise Google Cloud’s AI-optimised infrastructure, data analytics and enterprise AI platforms, and extensive AI model offerings to build innovative products that benefit various economic sectors. Upon graduation, they will join the Google for Startups Accelerator alumni network of more than 1,500 startups globally, and they will receive continuous support from Google to further scale their business. Through this accelerator program, we look forward to playing a part in nurturing the country’s next wave of promising AI startups and unicorns.”
