Data Management as a Service (DMaaS) Explained

Data Management as a Service, or simply DmaaS, is a portfolio of ‘software as a service’ (SaaS) offerings specifically designed to provide enterprise and mid-size customers with a radically simple way to back up, secure, govern and analyse their data.

Unlike traditional approaches to data management, cloud-based DMaaS entrusts to the vendor the responsibility of organising, maintaining and updating the necessary infrastructure, software and hardware to keep all the data management-related services operational.

But not all DMaaS offerings are created equal. Cohesity offers a modern approach that empowers customers to further simplify their data management. Cohesity DMaaS includes an entire spectrum of data management capabilities, including backup and recovery, disaster recovery, archiving, file and object services, dev/test provisioning, data governance, security and analytics.
