Synology Unveiled Innovative Solutions to Enhance Data Security and Productivity in Malaysia

As businesses in Malaysia increasingly adopt hybrid work environments, Network Attached Storage (NAS) servers have become pivotal in ensuring high availability data access for remote workers and safeguarding sensitive information. However, the evolving threat landscape poses challenges to IT environments, emphasizing the need for robust security measures. In light of this, Synology, a leading NAS appliance company, has introduced groundbreaking features to address data security concerns and enhance productivity.

New Features for Malaysian Market: Data Management, Data Protection, Productivity Enhancement, and Surveillance

Synology is unveiling new features across four key innovative solutions tailored for the Malaysian market: Data Management, Data Protection, Productivity Enhancement, and Surveillance. The company recognizes the shift of many customers from cloud-based storage to Synology NAS and aims to meet the evolving needs of various industries based on customer feedback.

Data Protection in the Face of Cyber Threats

Addressing the rising incidents of cybercrime affecting Malaysian businesses, Synology offers a comprehensive solution to enhance business resilience during this crisis. The solution comprises three key elements: system protection, data protection, and data recovery. These encompass various features, such as enhanced NAS login access security, including two-factor authentication, multi-factor authentication, passwordless authentication, and IP address restrictions. Additionally, Synology provides business backup solutions for devices, PCs, servers, and SaaS accounts.

Notably, new features introduced earlier this year, such as Immutable Snapshot, cater to industries managing sensitive privacy records, such as finance and healthcare. Immutable Snapshots, along with WriteOnce Shared folders, facilitate swift snapshots and prevent data compromise by enabling Write Once Read Many (WORM) actions for up to 30 days. This feature empowers users to configure files on their NAS with WORM functionality, essentially locking them once written and preventing any future alterations or deletions.

Enhanced Productivity with Generative AI

Looking forward to meeting the future demands of productivity, Synology has seamlessly integrated Generative AI into Synology Office and MailPlus, ushering in a revolutionizing era for productivity tools. This integration allows users to effortlessly generate written content by submitting requests through a chat box, simplifying tasks such as writing emails, translating articles, and information searches. Furthermore, the introduction of Mail Merge enhances efficiency in email communication by automating the insertion of recipients’ names and email addresses. This feature streamlines the process of email follow-ups, contributing to a more seamless and time-effective workflow

Future Plans and Innovation

Looking ahead, Synology is committed to advancing and broadening its array of offerings for businesses in Malaysia. Renowned for its storage solutions that emphasize simplicity, scalability, and security, the company is dedicated to providing comprehensive data management solutions. Upcoming developments will feature enhancements like scale-out capabilities, a new product for enterprise-level data protection, and high-performance products to fit the fast-growing AI storage demands. These advancements are tailored to address the evolving needs of businesses in Malaysia, reinforcing Synology’s commitment to staying at the forefront of technology and meeting the dynamic challenges of the market.
