Huawei and Malaysia: Ushering in the Digital Future With AI, the Cloud, and Big Data
Malaysia is delving deeper into digitalisation, with an ambitious goal of jump-starting its digital transformation efforts using the various innovations available today—particularly, the cloud, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and big data.
Helping Malaysia realise this goal of a digital future is Huawei, which recently held the Huawei Cloud Summit Malaysia 2023, a gathering specifically organised to help enterprise leaders and ICT professionals unlock the immense power of cloud computing, AI, and big data. Its aim is to turbocharge digital transformation, enable a competitive advantage, and promote sustainable growth, among other things.
In line with this, Data&StorageAsean had the honour of interviewing Andy Wei, Vice President of Huawei Malaysia’s Cloud Business Unit, to discuss the summit and the role of tech in shaping Malaysia’s digital dreams. In particular, Wei talked about his key takeaways from the summit, the challenges Malaysian businesses are facing in terms of cloud adoption and AI use, and the role of Huawei Cloud in bridging the country’s digitalisation efforts.
