A Demonstration of How Malaysia Is Applying the Latest in Technology into Business, Government, and the Economy

The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and the Jabatan Digital Negara (JDN)—in a strategic partnership with Synapze Sdn Bhd—has announced that the highly anticipated Malaysia Digital Xceleration (MDX) Summit 2025 and SmartGov Malaysia 2025 will take place from 17 to 19 September 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Now in its third edition, the MDX Summit 2025, held alongside the inaugural SmartGov Malaysia 2025, reinforces Malaysia’s position as a leading digital nation in ASEAN. As the country’s premier digital economy platform, both events serve as a hub for transformative discussions on emerging technologies, supporting Malaysia’s ambition to lead the regional data economy in line with the Madani Government’s vision of building an inclusive, sustainable and fully digital smart nation.

MDEC CEO Anuar Fariz Fadzil said that the summit will further catalyse Malaysia’s digital leadership in ASEAN by driving innovation, investment and inclusive growth.

“Technologies utilising digital assets and digital agents in its core will further drive outcomes through talent development, innovation and responsible AI to smarter public services,” he said.

MDX Summit will focus on five core areas:

  1. Next-Gen Data
  2. Next-Gen Computing
  3. Next-Gen Trust
  4. Next-Gen Creativity
  5. Next-Gen Talent

The summit will also demonstrate how Malaysia is applying technological innovation into applied solutions benefiting businesses, government services, the rakyat, and the broader regional economy.
